Meet Dr. Carleara Weiss, PhD, MS, RN.
Sleep Scientist 

Dr. Carleara Weiss is a Sleep Scientist focused on

Sleep, Aging and Brain Health.  

Dr. Weiss has over 15 years of experience as an

Adult-Geriatric Nurse Specialist, with a Master's in Science of Healthcare and a Ph.D. in Nursing, focused on Behavioral Sleep Medicine and Circadian Rhythms.​

Dr. Weiss moved to the US in 2013 to pursue a doctoral degree, and postdoctoral fellowship in Behavioral Sleep Medicine, Circadian Rhythms, Pharmacology, Toxicology and Geriatrics. Previously, she was Assistant Professor and Clinician in hospitals, nursing homes, and hospices in Brazil. 

Originally from Brazil, Dr. Weiss earned a Bachelor's in Nursing Science and a Bachelor's in Education, completed her medical-surgical & geriatric training, and master's degree at the Federal Fluminense University in Rio de Janeiro.
